When you are a
photographer picture taker who captures 90% of your images while out riding your bike, it can be hard to get wildlife to cooperate. Often between the sound of the bike rolling over gravel roads, unzipping and opening the camera bag, and fussing with the camera, any birds or wildlife are long gone.
BUT, every so often I get lucky, as I did this week with some decent shots of they downy woodpecker above (shot with the Nikon D7100, 18-200mm), and the grouse seen below (shot with the Fuji X-T1, 55-200mm).
The shots will by no means have me winning any wildlife photo contests or working for National Geographic any time soon, but I was pretty stoked to get the shots.
Thanks for looking.
