About Junk Miles Media
Junk miles are most often defined by coaches and dedicated endurance athletes as miles logged at a comfortably hard pace that do little to increase speed or fitness.
I define junk miles as the time spent, and distances traveled, as I document the world I live in with my camera, usually from the saddle of my bike. Unrestricted by heart rate numbers, miles logged, or Strava segments, my only goal is to expand and share my creativity.
A large portion of the photos I take are captured while riding my bike or attending cycling races and events, however this is not a cycling website per se, nor is it my personal blog (one of those out there is enough). This site will show my view of the world as I ride, walk, and hike through it, as well as images from a variety of sporting events viewed as an interested spectator who also just happens to be taking photos.
With all that said, welcome to the world of Junk Miles.
About the photos
My skills as a photographer are a work in progress. The photos seen here on Junk Miles Media are currently shot with a Fuji X-T1, Nikon D7100, or beat to hell Canon s95. Most are shot RAW and processed in Lightroom CC, Photoshop CC or the now discontinued desktop version of Snapseed.
